Where do you shoot?
We will select an outdoor location within 20 minutes of Galveston. It could be the beach, a park, your backyard, your favorite spot—we will decide together! At home lifestyle shoots are also really fun! And if you have an idea to do something unique and different, in doors or out, as long as we can get good lighting- I'm all in!
For a newborn session, I will photograph your new baby in the comfort of your home.
(If you live outside Galveston (Houston/Clear Lake/Santa Fe/Bolivar) I may be open to traveling to you with additional fee.
Can you shoot extended families?
Yes, please select the Premium for families over 10 people. Classic may be selected for 10 people and under. For each additional person over 6 persons (regardless of age) please add $25 per person to the session fee. For Premium Sessions no need to choose your favorites, all edited photos will be included (60+)
What time of day do you shoot?
If your session will be outside, I would like to shoot as close to sunset as possible (golden hour!), so I would ideally like to start your session an hour before the sunset.
If your session will be at home, any time of day is great because we'll use the light from your windows as a soft side-light source. That's why home sessions are great for kiddos and newborns, because their energy is best when the sun is high in the sky.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Yes! That is usually just fine. Please let me know as soon as possible though in order to make arrangements.
Do I have to order prints through you?
No, your digital downloads are yours to keep, do what you want with, and you are welcome to order through whichever company you prefer. The gallery service I use to distribute photos (Pixieset) makes it super easy to order beautiful high-quality small- and large-format prints directly from the gallery if you so choose. Please note that if you choose to use bargain printers such as drugstores and online bulk suppliers, the picture quality, colors, and sharpness will very likely NOT match what you see in your gallery.
How do you handle payment?
After we decide on a date, I will send over an invoice and contract via email. I require a deposit of 50% of your Session Fee in order to secure your date. I just ask that remaining session fee is paid in full before we start shooting. You can pay deposit online via credit card, and the day of I can take payment via cash, check, or Venmo.
How and when can I see my images?
I deliver your images to you via online gallery (invitation sent to your email) within 2 weeks, sometimes sooner! (3 weeks for extended family sessions, 2 months for weddings.)
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! ♥ In order to support other career artists & musicians I offer 10% off any portrait session package that is for your self promotion like websites, social media, or album art. These discounts are for portrait sessions only, not prints.
Will you photograph my pets?
Yes, pets can be included in Premium & Deluxe Sessions. For Petite Sessions we ask that you limit to one pet.
What should I wear?
That is completely up to you! If you like the "light and airy" look I would suggest whites and neutral tones. Ultimately I want you to be comfortable in whatever you are wearing so you can relax and have fun- that is the most important thing!
Will I get to choose my favorites?
For Premium and Classic sessions I'll include all of the edited photos which will be at least the amount listed in your package (often more) and for Essential & Petite sessions you will choose your favorites (30 for Essential and 5 for Petite) with the option to upgrade to the full gallery.
